FINISH STRONG!
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" Hebrews 12:1-2
With summer around the corner and school soon ending, we tend to either lose steam or finish strong. When we are losing steam we need to remember that whatever we are doing should be done as unto the Lord. We are to see all with an eternal perspective and with the end in sight we are not to give up, but finish strong. Paul saw the Christian life as a race. When we set aside the things that weigh us down, we are free to move about more quickly, more freely. We then have a renewed sense of vision and a clearer perspective. We can run again and having the finish line in sight we run with purpose. We have such a great example in Jesus...who endured even unto death... That we may have life...and that more abundantly! When we look to Jesus and the example that He set, we are much more apt to endure knowing that Jesus has a place all prepared for us ...but we need to endure...to make it there. Don't give up....don't lose steam...keep focused on the only One that can see you through! He loves you!

About Steps Of Faith
As women, we can wear so many hats throughout the day. Whether we are married or single, God has chosen a plan for our life and sometimes that road isn't the easiest one. We have realized at Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano, that we as women, want and need to go farther. We want to break out of the mainstream, cookie cutter culture of Southern California. A culture that can begin to wear you down and keep you so busy that Jesus and any relationship we had with Him takes a backseat to our carpools, work, lunch dates, and soccer games. We want, who are we kidding, we NEED power from God to thrive in this life and to do what He has called us to do. Our life can change with just one small decision, one "step of faith." Our prayer for our women's ministry is not that we ignore life, it is that we step out in faith and call upon the power of the Holy Spirit to help us live the life that our Jesus has called us to live in Him. May you find encouragement, support, peace, and Biblical truth throughout our ministry as you explore this site. Enjoy!
